Requested Songs
Recently, the youth of our congregation submitted a list of hymns to our elders that they would like us to sing more often. They are added here for us to peruse and perhaps to use in future services (particularly if someone needs inspiration for their song lists):
UPDATE [3/16/26]: This past Sunday, our Quarterly Fourth Sunday song service solicited requests from the congregation, with a theme of "Let Your Requests Be Made Known [Phlp 4:6]." While the response seemed grudging at first, we got word that some of our Lads2Leaders youth could use some help with leading or perhaps hearing some of the songs that the Lads2Leaders organization has published for them this year. BOTH of those lists (from the congregation AND for Lads2Leaders) have been added to this page and hopefully we can try to go through them before they depart for the convention in Louisville:
This section is tied to a Google Sheet that will not only keep this information handy for us, but will be updated with additional dates each time different hymns are used, and more can be added later.
Among the hymns that were requested were some that are NOT in either our Praise for the Lord or Bridges to Praise hymnals but are likely in the GABC songbook (will need to check and see if we have some of these available in PowerPoint/Paperless Hymnal formats):
Listen to Our Hearts
Still
10,000 Reasons
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Broken)
Break My Heart
These could be candidates for future expansion of the Bridges to Praise hymnal.
So, let's use these songs as best we can to, as usual, bring praise to our God and King, and to help us teach and encourage one another!
